Linda Eldredge, Ed.D., Mental Wellness and Diving Expert, Speaker
Author and retired psychologist specializing in holistic concepts, communication skills, personal empowerment, and springboard diving
Linda Eldredge, EdD, was a teacher for Deaf students (1980–1983) in Waco, Texas, and is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). She was a licensed psychologist (1991–2022) in Austin, Texas. Her holistic specialties included listening to one’s Inner Wisdom, communication, empowerment, spirituality, and trauma. Her clients included people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened, Deaf–Blind, or with one or more disabilities.
Dr. Eldredge earned a BS in behavioral science (Howard Payne University), an MA in deaf education (Texas Woman’s University), and an EdD in educational psychology (Baylor University). Her doctoral research examined a linguistic system to stop verbal abuse using verbal self-defense skills.
She began diving at age forty-two, and continued for over twenty years. At fifty-four, she placed third in a diving competition. She taught people of all ages how to breathe deeply, swim, and do diving tricks, helping them shift from fear to triumph as they follow their bliss.
